We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Patient Registration Specialist to join our team. This role involves the critical task of welcoming patients to our facility, ensuring all administrative protocols are followed accurately, and maintaining thorough records in our electronic health record (EHR) system. The Patient Registration Specialist will be responsible for checking in patients promptly, collecting and verifying identification and insurance details, processing copayments and deductibles, and preparing patient charts with all necessary documentation such as labels, armbands, orders, and consents for upcoming appointments. This position requires close communication with the physician's office to keep schedules updated and efficient, handling incoming calls professionally, and managing the daily payment log to guarantee correct financial processing by our billing office. Employment for this position is full-time, Monday through Friday, with hours from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm. Regular and predictable attendance is essential to ensure uninterrupted patient services. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook, exhibit excellent organizational and communication skills, and maintain a professional demeanor while interacting with patients and colleagues alike. Additional responsibilities include receiving office mail and performing assigned duties as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a team-oriented approach. This role is vital in bridging the administrative and clinical areas of our practice, contributing significantly to the overall patient experience and operational success.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in healthcare administrative tasks preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
