We are currently seeking a part-time Parish Receptionist to join our dedicated team. This role is integral to the smooth operation of our parish office and the welcoming environment we strive to maintain. The position offers an hourly wage of $22.00 to $24.00, reflective of experience and skills. As the first point of contact for visitors and callers, the Parish Receptionist embodies the parish’s mission by providing exceptional hospitality, managing communications, scheduling facilities, and offering clerical support.
The Parish Receptionist will greet visitors and answer phone calls, providing general information about the parish and its services. This includes managing the parish’s phone system and email inquiries, maintaining a helpful and responsive presence that supports parishioners and staff alike. The receptionist also oversees the scheduling and use of parish facilities, ensuring that rooms are prepared, supplies are stocked, and the environment remains clean and welcoming.
In addition to administrative duties such as managing calendars, filing, copying, and mail distribution, the receptionist provides assistance with Mass requests and serves as a liaison to the Spanish-speaking community if bilingual, offering translation and support. The ideal candidate will be a committed member of the Catholic faith community with strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of multi-tasking and working independently while collaborating effectively with staff and volunteers.
This position demands a professional who embodies service-driven values and is capable of problem-solving and exercising good judgment in a complex and dynamic environment. Experience with web conferencing platforms and Microsoft Office Suite is essential. Previous experience in event coordination is highly valued.
