The Restaurant Manager at Del Taco plays a pivotal role in upholding the brand’s promise while driving sales growth and operational efficiency. Reporting directly to the District Manager, this leadership position entails managing all aspects of restaurant operations to ensure successful delivery of the Del Taco Way. This includes recruiting, hiring, and retaining a skilled team, creating an engaging and positive work environment, and consistently delivering excellent food and service to customers. The Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing staff training certification, monitoring performance, recommending salary adjustments, and administering disciplinary actions when necessary to maintain a high-performing team. Beyond people management, the Restaurant Manager ensures compliance with all company operations standards including facility maintenance, equipment safety, and product quality. They drive sales initiatives by setting goals, managing labor in correlation with projected sales, increasing customer counts, and implementing local marketing strategies to attract and retain customers. Financial responsibilities include inventory control to minimize waste and theft, proper cash handling procedures, and adherence to labor laws to keep costs aligned with profitability targets. In addition, the manager handles vendor relationships efficiently to reduce repair and maintenance expenses. This role demands a leader who is detail-oriented, organized, and capable of analyzing performance metrics to solve problems proactively. The Restaurant Manager must be able to work independently under pressure, demonstrating excellent communication skills both for team motivation and customer interaction.
