The position requires hands-on leadership and instructional expertise to maintain and improve classroom and simulation laboratory training services. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in mentoring students, managing instructional personnel, and ensuring the instructional programs meet or exceed FAA standards. This supervisory position demands a blend of practical ATC experience, teaching proficiency, and the ability to collaborate effectively with FAA personnel to tailor training that meets local and national operational requirements. In detail, the Training Instructional Supervisor is responsible not only for direct instruction but also for the oversight of curriculum development, simulation certification processes, and technical training related to current ATC automation and procedures. The role includes mentoring Remote Pilot Operators (RPOs) and supporting continuous improvement initiatives focused on student outcomes. Ideal candidates bring extensive Certified Professional Controller (CPC) expertise, ideally with a minimum of five years of direct live traffic control experience at high-level ATC facilities (level 10 or above). The position offers a competitive salary range of $80,001 to $120,000, with the potential for candidates already retired under the Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS) to work without the usual supplemental annuity earnings limits.
