The Environmental Services (EVS) Attendant role at San Manuel Casino is a pivotal position responsible for ensuring that all areas of the casino and its off-site locations meet best-in-class cleanliness and sanitation standards. Reporting directly to the EVS Supervisor, the incumbent is tasked with maintaining the appearance and hygiene of the gaming floors, non-gaming areas, and various public and back-of-house spaces. The role emphasizes attention to detail and a proactive approach to cleanliness that supports the casino’s operational excellence and brand loyalty.
This position involves a diverse range of cleaning duties, including dusting and sanitizing furniture and equipment like slot machine bases and chairs, stanchions, and signage. The EVS Attendant ensures that all slot machines, card tables, and off-site facilities remain sanitary, handling trash removal, recycling, and maintenance of flooring through sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and stain removal. A critical component of the job is proper handling and usage of chemicals and equipment in line with manufacturer instructions and Safety Data Sheets, underscoring the importance of safety and compliance within the role.
Beyond cleaning, the EVS Attendant serves as a brand ambassador by engaging guests and internal customers with positive and professional demeanor, offering information, assistance, and greeting as required. Handling lost and found items with integrity and following protocols for hazardous materials cleanup forms part of the responsibilities, all in alignment with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards and the casino’s Exposure Control Plan.
