The Aviation Project Manager position at Kimley-Horn’s Orange, California office is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional with over eight years of experience in aviation engineering design. This role is integral to the Aviation team and focuses on managing complex airport projects from inception to completion. The position is not remote and provides a competitive salary ranging from $125,000 to $160,000 annually. 
In this role, the Aviation Project Manager will be responsible for preparing detailed analysis reports that support airport planning, design, and construction initiatives. The role demands strong technical expertise combined with project management skills, including task management, design and permitting coordination, and construction oversight. Collaboration plays a critical role as the manager will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers to ensure the successful delivery of projects. Maintaining high standards of quality through meticulous review processes is a key aspect of the job, as is monitoring project progress against budgets and schedules.

                - 8+ years of related aviation engineering experience
 - professional engineering (P.E.) license or ability to obtain within 12 months
 - experience with contract document preparation and cost estimating
 - knowledge of FAA Advisory Circulars and Engineering Briefs
 - experience with pavement design and FAAR Field Design Software
 - proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or MicroStation
 - strong communication skills
 - teamwork and leadership capabilities
 - ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
