The Produce Manager role at Sprouts Farmers Market is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the sales and operational activities within the Produce Department. This full-time role requires managing the department's quality control, merchandising, cleanliness, organization, and inventory management to ensure a consistent and exceptional fresh produce experience for customers. The Produce Manager leads a team of associates by providing coaching, feedback, and development opportunities, running performance reviews, and making hiring, promotion, and transfer decisions in collaboration with store leadership. This position demands confident independent judgment in addressing team member concerns and performance management, including corrective actions when necessary.
Additionally, the Produce Manager ensures maximum productivity by creating and adjusting staffing schedules and communicates standards, policy changes, and product knowledge to the team. Acting as a leader who inspires collaboration, the Produce Manager strives to deliver the finest quality produce, highest level of customer service, and an outstanding shopping experience. This role may also involve serving as a Key Carrier or acting Manager on Duty as needed, highlighting the trust and responsibility vested in this position.

It offers an hourly wage range of $21.40 to $34.25, determined by experience and qualifications. - Be at least 18 years of age
- 1-3 years of experience working in grocery retail with management experience in produce
- Basic knowledge of math, weights and measures
- Good communication skills
- Ability to take direction and participate in a team environment
- Perform general housekeeping and sanitize work area
- Adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb throughout the work day
- Ability to lift, stack, and maneuver heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs safely
- Ability to use a pallet jack to move pallets requiring force up to 85 pounds
- Ability to maneuver six wheel carts with force up to 35 lbs
- Ability to walk a total of up to 5 miles in an 8 hour shift
- Achieve and maintain Food Handlers permit
- Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Possess working knowledge of personnel reports, margin reports, weekly sales, and financial goals
- Show outgoing and friendly behavior and a positive attitude
