The role available is for a PRN Receptionist at the Mary Queen and Mother Center, an integral part of the Cardinal Ritter Senior Services network. This position is hourly paid, ranging from $13.75 to $14.00, and reports directly to the Facility Administrator. The PRN Receptionist acts as the welcoming face of the center, providing courteous and professional assistance to residents, families, visitors, and vendors. This role requires a combination of strong interpersonal skills and administrative expertise to maintain smooth front desk operations. Beyond greeting and assisting visitors, the Receptionist monitors resident movement to prevent elopements and responds promptly to code-alert door alarms, showcasing a critical role in maintaining safety.
Additional responsibilities include handling deliveries, managing biweekly payroll check distributions, accepting resident payments, processing meal orders for guests, addressing vending machine concerns, and selling postage stamps. The Receptionist also sorts and distributes daily mail, maintains emergency contact files, and performs typing and filing duties for medical records, including incident reports in the facility’s MDI system. Effective phone management is crucial as this position handles incoming calls and directs messages efficiently. The role requires flexibility, professionalism, and the ability to manage interruptions with composure, ensuring the operational efficacy of the center’s administrative functions.

Candidates should exhibit a pleasant and professional telephone voice, the ability to work under pressure, a typing speed between 30 and 40 words per minute, and strong phone etiquette and interpersonal skills.
