The role of Catering Sales Manager at Chateau Elan is pivotal to the resort’s continued success and expansion. This position focuses on managing catering accounts with the goal of enhancing guest satisfaction while driving revenue growth. The Catering Sales Manager is responsible for soliciting new catering sales accounts, nurturing relationships with existing clients, and ensuring that all revenue goals pertaining to food, beverage, and room rental are consistently met or exceeded. This dynamic role requires a highly motivated individual who excels in sales, client relations, and strategic planning.
The Catering Sales Manager will engage in a variety of sales activities, including telephone and email communications, outside sales calls, site inspections, and written correspondences to prospect and solicit new business. They must skillfully apply forecasting, annual budgeting, yield management techniques, and productivity metrics to achieve financial targets, while using market research to inform effective sales strategies. The role also involves selling all aspects of the hotel’s offerings, including room rentals and audiovisual services, to maximize account value. Building and maintaining long-term client relationships is essential to ensure repeat business and a steady revenue stream.
Collaboration is key in this position, as the Catering Sales Manager will work closely with culinary and banquet teams to design creative menus and event setups, guaranteeing flawless execution of catering events. - Education or equivalent experience in hospitality management or related field
- Minimum 1 year of catering sales experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Familiarity with hotel sales and event management software (e.g., Delphi)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
