We are currently looking to hire a passionate Preschool Cook to join our dynamic team at Canterbury Academy in Overland Park, Kansas. This full-time role involves preparing nutritious, kid-approved meals and snacks designed to fuel the adventures and learning experiences of preschoolers. As a vital member of our childcare-focused team, the Preschool Cook will manage meal preparation in adherence to USDA guidelines, organize kitchen supplies efficiently, serve meals to classrooms, and maintain a spotless kitchen environment. Additionally, the role includes assisting with extra tasks such as laundry, cleaning equipment, and sanitizing toys, contributing to the overall health and safety of our school environment. Given the physical aspects of the job, including some lifting, energetic and enthusiastic candidates are highly encouraged to apply. • High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years old
• Meets all state preschool cook requirements
• 1 year of experience in food planning, preparation, and service, following USDA guidelines
• Preferred: Current Food Handler's Card or ServSafe certification
