The Porter role within Cushman & Wakefield’s multifamily division is an essential position responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall upkeep of residential properties. This role primarily involves cleaning vacant units to prepare them for marketing and occupancy, as well as ensuring the common areas, office spaces, and model units are well-maintained. The Porter operates under the guidance of the Resident Manager and Property Manager, collaborating closely with the maintenance team to create an inviting environment for current and prospective residents. This role accesses various spaces such as leasing offices, laundry rooms, restrooms, apartment units, and outdoor common areas to uphold the property’s image and contribute to resident satisfaction. Working as a Porter in multifamily housing demands attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to customer service excellence. The job includes routine cleaning activities alongside responsibilities such as monitoring inventory, reporting maintenance issues, and adhering to safety protocols. The physical nature of the position requires the ability to stand or walk for extended periods, lift and move objects up to 25 pounds, and work outdoors under varying weather conditions.
