The position offers an hourly pay range of $16.35 to $19.00 plus tips when eligible, reflecting competitive compensation aligned with the responsibility involved. As a dish machine operator and kitchen assistant, the employee contributes significantly to the smooth functioning of the kitchen and overall customer experience. Your duties will center on safely and efficiently operating the dishwashing machine, ensuring all kitchenware, baskets, and crates are expertly cleaned and stored. Maintaining cleanliness and operational integrity of the dish machine and surrounding areas is a key part of the role, including reporting any mechanical issues expediently for resolution. You will also be responsible for maintaining inventory levels of dish detergents and cleaning chemicals, labeling and storing them according to safety standards. Additional tasks involve receiving deliveries, organizing and maintaining refrigerators and freezers, as well as ensuring the kitchen and bakery maintains adequate levels of clean equipment and tools. The role extends to assisting with basic food preparation activities by following prep sheets and checklists to support kitchen efficiency. Completion of opening, mid-shift, and closing procedures is expected each day, along with keeping all areas clean and organized through strict adherence to cleaning checklists and side work assignments.
