Currently, Willow Bridge is hiring for the position of Porter, an essential role within its on-site property management teams. The Porter at Willow Bridge plays a crucial role in ensuring the overall upkeep and aesthetic appeal of the exterior property environment. This position requires versatility, as duties can vary depending on the size and age of the apartment community managed. Responsibilities include daily inspections of the property to keep the grounds free of litter, maintaining cleanliness in management offices and mail rooms, and performing routine maintenance tasks such as sweeping, trash removal, and replacing lightbulbs in common areas. Porters assist with apartment make-readies by handling tasks like trash removal, minor repairs, caulking, and checking appliances and smoke detectors. They are also responsible for cleaning air conditioning vents, replacing filters, and assisting with appliance installation and relocation. Additional duties include cleaning pool areas, performing light painting, and supporting the Lead Service Manager or Service Technician when needed.
The role demands physical stamina as candidates must be able to lift between 80 to 100 pounds regularly. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, alongside a minimum of one year of related experience. Porters must be capable of multitasking, staying organized, and meeting deadlines while also being on call to handle after-hours emergency situations. A valid driver’s license may be required based on specific community needs.
