The role of a Sorter at RWB Thrift is pivotal in ensuring the smooth handling and categorization of donated items. Sorters play a key part in the operational workflow by efficiently processing incoming donations and organizing them into specified categories such as clothing, textiles, accessories, household goods, and electronics. Beyond just sorting, the responsibilities include inspecting each item for quality and cleanliness to ensure that only suitable products reach the sales floor or further processing departments.
