The Porter position at AVE is a vital part of maintaining the high standards that define this brand. Porters play a key role in ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and appealing presentation of AVE communities. Responsibilities encompass cleaning both indoor and outdoor amenity spaces with meticulous attention to detail, performing troubleshooting and repair tasks across a range of maintenance needs such as plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and appliance repairs. Porters also support exterior upkeep by caring for landscaping, trash collection, and snow removal during winter months, ensuring the community remains safe and accessible. In addition to daily maintenance duties, Porters assist with suite turnovers, changing light bulbs, painting, and other upkeep tasks. They participate in an on-call rotation to respond promptly to resident service requests and manage emergencies that occur outside of normal business hours, including floods, power outages, or fires. This full-time position requires availability Tuesday through Saturday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm with additional on-call responsibilities. Competitive compensation starts at $18+ per hour, with individual pay influenced by factors like experience, qualifications, and location.
