This role is integral to the seamless operation of the dealership’s service department, providing essential support by assisting customers and maintaining vehicle presentation. Service Porters play a pivotal role in the customer experience as the first point of contact for customers who bring their vehicles in for repair or maintenance. This position offers competitive pay ranging from $20.00 to $22.00 per hour and is designed to accommodate two different shifts: Sunday through Thursday and Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. This flexibility allows employees to find a schedule that suits their lifestyle while contributing to the smooth functionality of the dealership. In this role, Service Porters greet and assist customers promptly, ensuring that vehicle handoffs for repairs are handled with professionalism and courtesy. They are responsible for moving and managing vehicles around the lot to maintain a pristine display and to support sales initiatives. Additionally, Service Porters deliver vehicles and assist shuttle drivers as needed, which helps facilitate customer transportation logistics. The role also requires comprehensive cleaning and upkeep of all vehicles to uphold the high standards consistent with the Mercedes-Benz brand. Service Porters monitor tire pressure, add air and fuel when necessary, and conduct routine vehicle upkeep checks. Attention to detail is critical, as they must identify potential vehicle repairs or maintenance for the buildings and notify management accordingly. Maintaining the cleanliness and aesthetic appeal of the showroom, lot, and store interior and exterior is also essential. Service Porters handle miscellaneous errands, contributing to the overall efficiency and operation of the service department.
