The Porter role at Asset Living is essential to maintaining the quality and appearance of the communities the company manages. The position involves supporting maintenance operations including corrective, preventative, routine, and cosmetic maintenance tasks to ensure the community is safe, clean, and attractive to current and prospective residents. Under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager, the Porter assists with the make-ready process by preparing units and common areas consistent with operational objectives. This full-time role requires regular daily attendance, hands-on physical work including cleaning, trash removal, maintenance of grounds, buildings, breezeways, and interiors. The Porter responds promptly to work orders and resident requests related to the upkeep of community common areas and units. They help maintain a preventative maintenance program to extend the life of community features and mitigate future repairs, while adhering to company policies and safety standards. The position also demands keen observation skills to identify and correct hazards and maintain OSHA-compliant safety protocols. The Porter participates in unit inspections, enforces community rules, manages resources efficiently, and actively contributes to excellent customer service by ensuring responsiveness and a positive image of the property. This role involves physical demands such as moving throughout different worksites, lifting heavy objects, working at heights, exposure to various weather conditions, and operating machinery. Asset Living offers competitive compensation ranging from $20 to $22 per hour depending on skills, experience, and certifications.
