The Executive Chef will lead a team comprising lead cooks, cooks, dishwashers, and servers, ensuring adherence to the company’s mandated food and beverage menus and purchasing programs. The position requires strong organizational skills, accountability, and a deep understanding of profit and loss management related to food operations. Responsibilities include maintaining budgeted revenue, controlling costs of sales, labor, and supplies, and managing operating cash flow related to food services. The Executive Chef collaborates closely with the Operations team and Sales staff to plan, supervise, and execute all events, including catering and special functions. This role ensures product quality, freshness, and presentation standards are consistently met, while also managing kitchen equipment maintenance and compliance with local health regulations. This leadership position involves recruiting, hiring, training, and developing a talented kitchen staff, fostering a team-oriented environment, and supporting the General Manager on all food-related matters. The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor’s or culinary degree preferred, along with at least five years of kitchen management or Executive Chef experience. Extensive experience in banquet-style events, high-volume entertainment, or hospitality settings, and current ServSafe certification are required, with preference given to candidates with ServSafe instructor certification or eligibility. The working environment involves significant physical activity including walking, bending, standing for extended periods, and occasional lifting with assistance.
