The role of a Porter at Gerber Collision & Glass is vital in complementing the company's high-quality repair services by ensuring vehicles are spotless and presentable before being returned to customers. Porters are responsible for the cleanliness and appearance of both customer vehicles and the facility itself, from offices and production areas to parking lots and grounds. The role requires a diligent approach to daily housekeeping tasks and detailed vehicle cleaning, both interior and exterior, before and after repairs are conducted.
Porters also handle the critical task of transporting customer vehicles to various sublet locations for specialized repairs, which demands a valid driver’s license and a responsible attitude. This role offers an excellent opportunity for those interested in the automotive field, even for individuals with limited prior experience, as automotive knowledge is preferred but not mandatory. Successful candidates will be detail-oriented, motivated to provide exceptional customer service, and possess a positive attitude alongside reliability and a willingness to learn.
