The Air Traffic Control Instructor-II position at SAIC CTS focuses on delivering effective and comprehensive training for air traffic control tower (ATCT) specialists. This full-time, day-shift role is based in College Park, GA, with no travel or remote work options. Candidates are expected to have hands-on experience with the latest air traffic control automation and simulation technologies, including platforms like TSS and AT Coach. This instructor role requires a deep understanding of ATC operations in facilities ranging from level 7 to level 9 complexity, encompassing both civilian and military environments.
In this position, the instructor will deliver top-tier training to a wide variety of developmental air traffic control students, preparing them to become fully certified controllers. The role demands strong technical expertise, superior communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with FAA personnel at multiple levels to ensure training programs align with operational needs. Instructor responsibilities include scenario design for simulation platforms, classroom management, and fostering a student-centered approach focused on continuous improvement.
Candidates must hold FAA Certified Professional Controller (CPC) certification or an equivalent military certification, along with the ability to obtain and maintain Instructor-II Simulation Laboratory Certification. US citizenship is required, with clearance to obtain and maintain Public Trust status.
