The Porter role at Levain Bakery is vital to maintaining the clean, safe, and sanitized environment that supports both bakery staff and customers. As a Porter, you will be responsible for ensuring all store areas, especially food preparation zones, meet the highest health code standards. This position is ideal for individuals who take pride in essential behind-the-scenes work and who are motivated by contributing to their team’s overall success through maintaining an impeccable and safe workplace. The job entails comprehensive store maintenance including sweeping, mopping, trash removal, sanitization, restocking, and assisting with the setup and breakdown of bakery equipment and displays. You will also support inventory management tasks such as receiving deliveries and organizing stock. The role calls for flexibility in working hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, and requires the physical stamina to stand or walk up to eight hours during a shift as well as the ability to lift or push weights up to 50 pounds. • Previous custodian or porter experience in food and beverage or retail preferred
