The Porter position at CULVER'S® plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall presentation of the restaurant. This role is essential for ensuring that both the interior and exterior of the restaurant meet the high standards set by the company, which directly supports the customer experience. As a Porter, you will report to the manager on duty and perform a variety of tasks including sanitation and food safety practices, facility maintenance, and assisting in inventory management. The role demands attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to safety.
Porters are responsible for checking the restaurant's condition following the previous shift, ensuring a secure and clean environment before operations start. They complete daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance duties on schedule, helping to preserve the restaurant's appearance inside and out, which may include landscaping and snow removal. Additionally, Porters assist with food storage by accurately stocking and rotating supplies to maintain freshness and safety standards. This role requires consistent coordination with team members to prepare the restaurant for opening and smooth operations during peak times like the lunch shift.
Physical stamina is crucial in this role, as Porters spend much of their time standing, walking, lifting varying weights, and performing tasks in both indoor and outdoor environments.
