We are currently hiring for the position of Porter, a vital role within our operational team. This position involves maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in various areas including workspaces, dish rooms, coolers, utility areas, restrooms, locker rooms, and transportation zones both inside and outside the facility. The Porter ensures a hygienic and safe environment, supporting the overall efficiency and smooth running of our services. This role is perfect for detail-oriented individuals who enjoy working in a team and following corporate sanitation guidelines. The position requires physical stamina as it often involves exposure to temperature variations, industrial cleaning chemicals, and frequent lifting of items up to 50 pounds. The Porter will primarily use sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal skills throughout their shift. Employment with gategroup as a Porter is unionized, with an initial union initiation fee of $75.00 and monthly dues of $76.80. Applicants should be prepared to work varying schedules that may include weekends, holidays, and overtime assignments. Being punctual, complying with company policies, and completing administrative duties related to the role are essential. This role requires the capability to read and write for form completion and effective communication with supervisors and colleagues.
