We are currently seeking a dependable and flexible Porter to join our Environmental Services team. This is a full-time position with hours from 6am to 2:30pm, scheduled to include one weekend every three weeks. The role is a floating position, which means the Porter will work throughout the entire building rather than being assigned to a single floor or area, offering a variety in daily responsibilities. The ideal candidate will take pride in maintaining cleanliness, comfort, and safety within the community for residents, staff, and visitors. As a Porter, your primary responsibilities will include collecting and disposing of trash and recyclables campus-wide, maintaining trash containers and rooms, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming assigned areas, and performing floor care tasks such as carpet cleaning, extraction, stripping, and refinishing hard floors. The role also requires operating cleaning equipment like vacuums, buffers, and wet vacuums, moving furniture and supplies, cleaning guest units and common spaces, performing light maintenance such as unclogging drains, and maintaining supply closets with organized and labeled equipment. Assistance with other housekeeping or support tasks across the building is also expected. This role is essential in ensuring the Environmental Services contribute directly to the pleasant living conditions and operational excellence of the community, making it a vital part of Well-Spring’s mission to provide a welcoming and safe environment.

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must have a valid North Carolina driver’s license and maintain an acceptable driving record
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including one weekend every three weeks
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to follow directions, work independently, and adapt to changing needs
• Previous custodial, janitorial, or environmental services experience preferred
