Pilots are entrusted with the full command of the aircraft, ensuring compliance with all FAA regulations, manufacturer guidelines, and company standard operating procedures. The Pilot is also expected to provide a concierge-level service experience, which includes greeting passengers, briefing them on flight specifics, handling in-flight services such as catering and beverage service, attending to pets and smokers, and maintaining a professional demeanor throughout the flight.
Pilots at NetJets must be highly flexible, capable of working varying hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, often traveling across different time zones and staying away from home for extended periods. The work is physically demanding and requires a strong commitment to personal fitness and rest management to ensure peak performance during duty hours. Additionally, pilots act as liaisons between the passengers and various operational teams, communicating any maintenance issues promptly and ensuring that all flight documentation is accurately completed.
The base salary range for this role is $86,015 to $117,706, reflecting the high level of responsibility and skill required. - At least 21 years of age
- 1,500 hours total flight time experience or 1,250 hours with appropriate university R-ATP certificate or 1,000 hours with military pilot qualification or 1,000 hours with appropriate university R-ATP certificate
- 200 hours cross-country flight time
- 250 hours fixed-wing PIC
- 100 hours of night flying or 75 hours with 45 night takeoffs and landings
- 75 hours of instrument time (actual or simulated in-flight, excludes simulator time)
- ATP written completed prior to start of Indoctrination Training
- 50 hours fixed-wing, multi-engine time
- Current FAA First-Class Medical certificate
- FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit
- Valid passport
- Authorization to work in the U.S. and travel without restriction
- Ability to work varying hours including day and night, weekdays, weekends and holidays
- Flexibility and ability to adjust to rapid changes
- Ability to manage rest to be prepared for flight duty
- Ability to endure duty lasting up to fourteen hours per day for up to eight days
- Willingness to be away from home for seven or more days and nights staying in hotels
- Ability to secure airport authority and/or U.S. Customs security badges
- Ability to pass TSA background screening
- Valid U.S. passport
- Valid State driver's license
- Proficient English language skills
- Service-oriented with neat appearance
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to make quick and accurate decisions
- Physical ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and handle pets
