The Pastry Cook role at Blackberry Mountain is a critical position that supports the resort’s commitment to delivering exceptional culinary experiences. This full-time position, offering an hourly wage ranging from $15.00 to $21.00, involves responsibility for the daily production of high-quality desserts served in the property's restaurants. The Pastry Cook works closely with the kitchen team to maintain cleanliness and organization within the bakeshop, manage inventory, and prepare a variety of dessert components to delight guests. The ideal candidate should have a culinary education or relevant experience, a strong understanding of pastry techniques, and the ability to follow production schedules and recipes precisely. Responsibilities include mixing, baking, and finishing desserts for lunch and dinner service, coordinating with kitchen and restaurant staff on pastry needs, conducting inventory and cookie production, and assisting with special dietary requests and custom cake orders. The role requires physical stamina and the ability to handle equipment safely, with duties such as heavy lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods.   • Minimum of 1-year experience in restaurant and pastry

  • Must be able to compose effective recipes

  • Must thoroughly understand weights, measures, and conversions
  • Must exercise judgment and make decisions based on job knowledge and company goals
