The food and beverage team at JW Marriott Dallas Arts District plays a crucial role in delivering the signature hospitality experience the brand is known for. This full-time non-management position based on-site focuses on food preparation and cooking in accordance with recipes, quality, and presentation standards. The role involves preparing ingredients such as portioning and chopping, safely using baking and measuring tools, and ensuring compliance with all food safety handling procedures, including personal hygiene and sanitation practices. Employees monitor the correct temperatures of kitchen appliances and food, report any issues, and maintain cleanliness of workstations, including setting up and breaking down areas per hygiene protocols. Ensuring that food quality and portion sizes meet standards throughout the shift is a key responsibility. Aside from culinary duties, team members at JW Marriott adhere to all company policies for safety and security, promptly reporting accidents or unsafe conditions to management and completing all required safety training and certifications. Personal appearance and uniform standards are upheld professionally, and associates maintain confidentiality of proprietary information while protecting company assets. The role requires physical tasks such as moving objects up to 25 pounds, navigating slippery or uneven surfaces, bending, twisting, and standing or walking for extended periods.
