We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Pastry Cook to join our culinary team on a part-time basis. The Pastry Cook will work under the direction of the Pastry Chef and will be responsible for preparing a wide array of baking and pastry items to meet the needs of all club restaurants, banquets, parties, and special events. This role requires a strong foundation in pastry arts, excellent baking skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, creativity in dessert presentation, and a willingness to participate in collaborative menu planning. The Pastry Cook will be instrumental in producing high-quality breakfast items, desserts, cakes, pies, breads, ice creams, sorbets, creams, simple syrups, confections, displays, and special a la carte items. Responsibility also includes assisting with maintaining the bakery case by ensuring it features fresh, innovative, and artistically presented dessert and bread selections. A thorough understanding of banquet event orders and the ability to execute both verbal and written instructions accurately is essential for success in this role. Attention to cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards are critical components of the job, as the Pastry Cook will maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA and USDA regulations. Proper storage, labeling, and handling of food products are required, including managing dry storage rooms, refrigerators, and walk-in coolers.
