The club is currently seeking a part-time Pastry Chef to join their culinary team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work alongside Chef Joseph Leonardi, CMC, AAC, one of only 72 Certified Master Chefs in the United States. The Pastry Chef position is integral to maintaining the high standards of quality and presentation that the club is known for. Responsibilities include preparing and baking a variety of pastries such as cakes, cookies, pies, puddings, and other desserts in accordance with established recipes and specifications. The candidate will also be responsible for decorating and finishing both baked and non-baked goods, ensuring products meet the club’s standards for taste and visual appeal.
The position emphasizes cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of the work area and equipment, which is critical in maintaining food safety practices and overall kitchen efficiency. The Pastry Chef will work closely with the Lead Pastry Chef, Executive Chef, and Sous Chefs, communicating any needs or requirements to support seamless operations and event functions. With a recommended hourly wage of $20.00, this part-time role offers a chance to gain valuable experience while contributing to a respected country club’s culinary excellence.
In addition to routine baking and decorating tasks, the role requires the preparation of special order pastries for customer requests and the review of banquet and restaurant orders to ensure all dessert items are prepared accurately and on time. Daily duties include opening and closing checklists and maintaining the freshness of pastry station products. The Pastry Chef will also be involved with inventory management by pulling supplies and stocking ingredients necessary for daily production.
