The part-time Barista role at Lamar University is designed for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. This position offers a competitive pay rate of $12.00 per hour and requires availability Monday through Friday with varying hours, which will be discussed in more detail during the interview. The Barista will be responsible for preparing and serving coffee, espresso drinks, and related food and beverage items in compliance with HACCP food safety standards. Interaction with customers and fellow employees should always be friendly and courteous to ensure a positive experience for everyone involved. Duties include accurate order entry using POS devices, cash and charge payment handling, maintaining cleanliness and order in the service area, and merchandising food attractively according to standards. The role is integral to ensuring smooth service operations, supporting catering needs, and upholding quality control across beverage preparation and food service.
