The role of Part-Time Maintenance and Cleaning Staff is integral to the upkeep of the residential facility. The incumbent will be responsible for daily cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and maintaining bathrooms, common areas, and laundry rooms. Additionally, minor repairs and maintenance duties play a crucial part in this position, including tasks like light bulb replacement, painting, faucet repairs, floor stripping and waxing, and other assignments as directed by supervisory staff. The role also involves assisting with the cleaning of resident apartments, preparations for extermination services, and preparation of vacant apartments for new occupants.
Further responsibilities include managing garbage disposal, maintaining cleanliness of the compactor and its room, overseeing the outside premises for cleanliness and safety, and shoveling or cleaning snow when necessary. The person in this position will be expected to interact professionally with residents, handle confidential information in compliance with federal and state laws, stock and distribute supplies, and liaise with maintenance vendors. Regular meetings with the Program Director will provide supervisory support and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
