The role of Baker at Vallarta Supermarket is central to maintaining the quality and authenticity of the bakery section. This position involves preparing dough, batters, and mixtures for various baked goods including breads, cakes, pastries, and specialty items rooted in Mexican, Central American, and American culinary traditions. The Baker is expected to follow established recipes and departmental guidelines to produce bakery items that meet Vallarta's high standards. Beyond baking, the Baker plays a key role in customer engagement by greeting shoppers with a smile and providing extraordinary customer service. This includes responding to customer requests and ensuring that all bakery products are presented attractively and consistently available. The position is non-exempt, requiring adherence to a flexible schedule which may include weekends and holidays. Experienced Bakers with a passion for baking and customer interaction will find this an opportunity to contribute to a vibrant retail environment and to develop their skills within a culturally rich bakery setting. Additionally, the Baker must uphold safety and health regulations and work collaboratively within a team to achieve departmental goals.
