The role of Shift Leader at DHC is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing all restaurant activities during their shift. The Shift Leader works closely with the Restaurant Management Team to ensure that operations align with the overall business plan and standards. This position requires proactive management of team members to ensure they meet performance expectations while creating a positive and productive work atmosphere. The Shift Leader is accountable for tasks ranging from scheduling and delegating duties to handling guest interactions and resolving any operational issues. This role ensures the smooth running of the restaurant by overseeing cleanliness, food safety compliance, cash handling, and customer service. The Shift Leader also acts as a role model, setting a positive example in all business and personnel practices. They train new employees, provide ongoing coaching, and motivate team members to achieve high morale and productivity.   • Current student or high school diploma/GED preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years old and fluent in English
  • Certified in all stations following the DHC Training Program
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, opening and closing shifts
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to bend and stoop and lift 50 - 75 lbs comfortably
  • Ability to work in close quarters and around heat
  • Positive attitude while conducting all duties
