Reporting to the HR Director, this hourly non-exempt position is designed for an individual with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach towards operational management. The role demands versatility in managing safety programs, payroll, candidate screening, personnel file security, event coordination, vendor performance audits, office supply management, and compliance with business continuity planning. As part of the responsibilities, the coordinator assists in the Health and Safety Program encompassing SDS management, behavior-based safety audits, emergency action planning, and regulatory reporting. Additionally, the role involves handling payroll administration and supporting recruitment through candidate screening, managing sensitive personnel files securely, and facilitating new hire onboarding processes which include issuing business essentials such as business cards and uniforms. In hospitality, the coordinator organizes meal planning and catering arrangements for various events, oversees setup and teardown logistics, and handles travel logistics for training, conferences, and trade shows. Facilities management duties include overseeing annual inspection schedules, maintaining vendor databases, managing truck fleet compliance, auditing vendor performance, and assisting with business continuity plans. Office responsibilities cover managing supplies, controlling access for visitors, handling postage and deliveries, coordinating special orders, and administering the office VoIP phone system. The coordinator also supports accounting tasks such as customer and vendor setup in ERP systems and maintaining physical check logs. This role requires strong communication and time-management skills, organizational excellence, and the ability to work independently while fostering teamwork.
