The role of the On-Call Concierge with Planned Companies is a vital link in delivering this elevated property experience. This position is an on-call role offering flexible scheduling without a fixed timetable but requires availability during the first (7 AM to 3 PM or 8 AM to 4 PM) and second (3 PM to 11 PM or 4 PM to 12 AM) shifts, including weekends. The hourly pay for this position ranges from $19 to $20. The On-Call Concierge acts as the frontline ambassador for tenants, guests, and vendors, providing a range of services that combine traditional front desk responsibilities with personalized concierge services tailored to individual tenant needs.
Primary responsibilities include greeting and assisting building occupants, providing directions, handling deliveries and vendor services, answering telephones, and maintaining security by controlling access keys and cards. Beyond these operational duties, the On-Call Concierge actively engages with tenants by building relationships, understanding their preferences, and facilitating unique experiences. This may include scheduling reservations at restaurants and entertainment venues, planning onsite events, and serving as a local guide for amenities such as dining, shopping, sporting events, and transportation. The role demands a courteous, self-assured demeanor balanced with strong multitasking and time management capabilities.
Applicants for this role should have at least two years of concierge experience and demonstrate a passion for delivering warm, welcoming interactions. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with basic computer proficiency, are essential. Knowledge of local Philadelphia attractions and a professional appearance and attitude are required to create a positive impression consistently. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds when necessary, reflecting some hands-on responsibilities in handling deliveries or setups.
