Air Methods Communications (AirCom) is a pivotal entity in the air medical transportation industry, specializing in providing critical communication coordination between aircraft flight crews, pre-hospital healthcare providers, and other qualified callers. As part of Air Methods, a renowned air medical service company, AirCom plays an essential role in ensuring the seamless logistical and communication management that enables rapid and effective medical transportation and emergency response. This full-time position offers a competitive hourly wage starting at $21 to $22 per hour, with shifts structured in 12-hour rotations, including a night shift starting at 5 pm. The role of Communications Coordinator at AirCom is central to the operation's success, requiring the individual to manage and facilitate communication flow among diverse stakeholders, including public and private callers, flight teams, healthcare providers, and receiving institutions. The Communications Coordinator is responsible for monitoring flights from lift-off to touch-down, ensuring adherence to FAA and company regulations, managing flight coordination information with accuracy, and providing initial responses to incoming calls related to flight and medical emergencies. This position demands a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The role also supports training new employees and fosters collaboration across teams to maintain operational standards. With a strong emphasis on compliance with company policies and legal requirements, the position does not involve supervisory duties, focusing instead on operational communications to support critical emergency medical services.   • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • one to two years' related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
