The Assistant General Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the General Manager by leading the team with integrity and enthusiasm. This position offers an hourly pay rate of $23.94 and provides a unique opportunity to thrive in a people-first environment that values hospitality at its core. As Assistant General Manager, you will be responsible for onboarding and training new staff members, positively engaging with members, managing daily club operations, and maintaining impeccable inventory control. You will work closely with a team of 20 to 30 employees, ensuring that every aspect of customer service, cleanliness, and club culture meets the high standards set by Chuze Fitness.
This role requires excellent leadership skills to motivate and develop staff through one-on-one coaching, performance reviews, and supportive guidance in partnership with HR for any necessary escalations. You will be expected to help resolve member billing inquiries, handle escalated employee concerns, and sustain seamless communication across departments involving fitness operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting. The Assistant General Manager is instrumental in ensuring that the club environment is engaging, safe, and welcoming, creating an exceptional fitness experience for all members and team members alike.
Furthermore, this position involves operational responsibilities such as managing staff breaks, maintaining appropriate staffing levels during shifts, guaranteeing daily quality assurance, and executing opening and closing club procedures. In addition to leadership and operational management, you will also contribute to recruitment and onboarding efforts by conducting interviews and screenings to attract top-tier talent.
