The Janitor / Cleaner role at O2 Fitness is vital in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and hygiene that the facility upholds. This position is essential in creating and sustaining a safe, sanitary, and comfortable environment for both the staff and members who use the gym daily. The Janitor / Cleaner is responsible for ensuring that all areas within the facility meet O2 Fitness's cleanliness standards, addressing member feedback regarding cleanliness promptly, and managing cleaning operations efficiently in compliance with occupational safety guidelines. Working alongside the team, the individual in this role must utilize various cleaning techniques and equipment, perform routine maintenance checks, and uphold safety protocols to prevent hazards or damage to the equipment and facility. This is an hourly wage position, highlighting the company’s dedication to offering fair compensation for committed employees who contribute to the health and hygiene aspects of the environment. - high school diploma or equivalent
- janitorial and/or housekeeping experience preferred
- ability to operate mechanical cleaning equipment
- must be able to follow safety regulations
- physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, kneel and bend
- ability to lift, push and pull required load (usually about 45 lbs.)
- excellent communication skills
