The role of Cook at Omni Chicago Hotel involves preparing all hot and cold food items while ensuring consistency, high quality, and adherence to food specifications. This position is essential to maintaining the hotel's culinary excellence and delivering outstanding guest experiences. The cook will be responsible for maintaining kitchen sanitation according to health department guidelines, ensuring the work station is set for service ahead of time, and mastering all menu items at their assigned station. Timely and efficient preparation of food orders, proper handling and refrigeration of cold food, and compliance with safe food handling procedures are critical components of this role. The successful candidate will be passionate about culinary arts, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and willing to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays. This position pays $27.45 per hour and offers part-time associates access to dental, vision, and other healthcare benefits, as well as paid leave accrual and a pre-tax commuter program upon meeting eligibility requirements.
