The Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) Pilot position at Entergy Services, LLC is designed for individuals passionate about cutting-edge drone technology and its application in asset inspection and data collection. This role is an onsite position located in Kenner, Louisiana, and requires significant travel, with over 75% travel expected. As an UAS Pilot, you will be responsible for piloting drones to inspect company assets, ensuring these inspections are conducted safely, accurately, and efficiently. The role involves multiple responsibilities including acting as Remote Pilot In Command, Visual Observer, and Sensor Operator, requiring a comprehensive understanding of drone operation and safety regulations. You'll participate in routine and emergency inspections, such as fast response outage and post-storm assessments, which are critical to maintaining the integrity and reliability of Entergy's infrastructure. The job also includes data management duties, where you will analyze and process collected data to support maintenance and operational decisions.
In addition to flight operations, the UAS Pilot will perform thorough pre- and post-flight inspections and maintenance on the unmanned systems, ensuring all equipment is in optimal condition for safe operation. Mission planning, risk assessments, and reporting are integral parts of the daily workflow, requiring strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Communication skills are equally important, as you will work closely with clients, team members, and other stakeholders to convey inspection findings through precise and clear reports.

- Authorization to work in the United States
- Associate's degree in surveying, Engineering Technology, or related field or equivalent experience
- 2 years of flight experience as a Part 107 Commercial Drone Pilot
- 100 hours of verifiable commercial UAS flight experience
- FAA Part 107 Certification
- Ability to obtain a Louisiana Class D Chauffeur's License
- Medical certification and maintenance
- Willingness to travel more than 75 percent of work time
- Onsite work availability
