The role available at House of Blues is for a dynamic food and beverage server position within a lively nightclub environment. Employees in this role act as the face of the venue, facilitating memorable experiences by anticipating guest needs, suggestively selling beverages and menu items, and ensuring top-notch hospitality. The position demands excellent communication skills, a working knowledge of cocktail and food service, responsible alcohol service practices, and proficiency in handling point of sales systems. Servers will navigate through large crowds, maintain atmosphere control, and uphold rigorous safety and sanitation standards consistent with House of Blues policies. An important aspect of this job is ensuring responsible alcohol service, which includes verifying identification and managing intoxicated guests tactfully and safely. This is a physically demanding position, requiring long periods of standing, adeptness in maneuvering trays and serving during busy, fast-paced events often accompanied by loud music and high energy. Employees must be able to lift and move items weighing up to 25 pounds safely. Flexibility in working hours, especially late nights and scheduled special events, is essential. Previous experience in a live music environment, cash handling, and recognizing valid identification are preferred but not mandatory. The role offers an hourly wage of $17.25 USD, with pay determined by qualifications, skills, and location. • High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of customer service or related experience
• Responsible Alcohol Awareness Training certification or equivalent
