The role of the Drone Pilot at Acuren is a critical position within their Unmanned Inspection operations, reporting to the Operations Manager. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity for candidates to advance their careers by performing specialized drone inspections focused on safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. The Drone Pilot will be responsible for managing drone operations at customer sites, ensuring all safety protocols and quality assurance measures are adhered to. Key responsibilities include conducting flight operations, acquiring ground-based data, performing inspections, compiling detailed reports, and maintaining open communication with clients to update them on project progress and work priorities. Additionally, the Drone Pilot will take charge of project scheduling and execution, supervise and instruct team members, and actively participate in client programs including planning and strategy sessions. The role also includes responsibilities related to site safety management and participating in performance management evaluations. This position requires an individual who is detail-oriented, technically skilled, and possesses strong leadership capabilities to thrive in a dynamic, safety-focused environment.   • UAV operator experience with fixed wing, rotor, or multirotor drones
  • Leadership experience is an asset
  • Hold a current FAA Part 107 certificate
  • Experience in confined space inspections, oil and gas, LiDAR, 3D modeling, mapping, and utility infrastructure inspections
  • Ability and willingness to pass hair follicle drug screening and federal background check
  • Experience with a wide variety of sensors including LiDAR, EO/IR cameras, OGI and multi/hyperspectral imaging
  • Experience with GIS/CAD databases is a plus
  • Non-destructive testing (NDT) experience is highly desired
