The Patient Registration Specialist is a key member of the team responsible for verifying insurance, collecting payments, and maintaining accurate patient records and accounts. Maintaining a smooth patient flow and delivering positive patient relations are central to the role. Responsibilities include preparing the clinic for opening by ensuring all systems and paperwork are ready, greeting patients, accurately registering patients, verifying insurance information in a timely manner, processing payments, and addressing billing issues. Providing excellent customer service through prompt responses to patient needs, assisting with follow-up appointments, and fulfilling medical documentation requests are also crucial aspects of the position. The clinic environment is fast-paced and requires accuracy in handling financial transactions, including balancing daily patient charges and securing financial assets through cash control procedures. The role also involves completing closing procedures and maintaining detailed documentation to support clinic operations.
