The Patient Service Representative position at Piedmont Urgent Care McDonough is an essential role that serves as the first point of contact between the patient and the clinical staff. This full-time role operates on a floating schedule with tentative hours from 8am to 8pm across three shifts per week, including rotating weekends and holidays. The position demands a professional individual who can manage the front desk efficiently while ensuring a high standard of patient service. In this role, the representative will greet patients, verify health insurance benefits, collect co-pays and outstanding balances, and perform various front office duties. Emphasis is placed on maintaining the integrity of the clinic's reception area and adhering to organizational policies and healthcare regulatory requirements such as HIPAA and OSHA. The representative will also be responsible for documenting patient history, updating electronic medical records (EMR), and providing overall support to physicians and office operations. The ideal candidate will bring experience from medical office or emergency room settings, with urgent care experience preferred but not required.
