ReDiscover's Youth Urgent Care Department is part of the Behavioral Health Urgent Care Clinic (BHUCC), an innovative program offering immediate, same-day psychiatric medication access for mental health and substance use treatment. This clinic is unique in the Kansas City area due to its client-focused approach, providing care every day of the week, including evenings and holidays. By integrating a multidisciplinary team, BHUCC ensures a comprehensive approach to behavioral health that directly improves community well-being.
The role of Receptionist at ReDiscover is a vital frontline position within the Youth Urgent Care Department. This full-time position operates primarily in the 2nd shift, Monday through Friday from 11:00am to 7:30pm, located at 7001 Blue Ridge Blvd in Raytown, MO. The receptionist serves as the first point of contact for visitors, vendors, and clients, playing a crucial role in representing the organization’s compassion and professionalism. Responsibilities include greeting guests, answering and directing calls, managing appointment schedules, verifying insurance and personal information, and maintaining meticulous compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality.
This role requires a blend of strong interpersonal skills, technical computer competencies, and the ability to efficiently multitask in a dynamic, high-volume environment. The Receptionist is also responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly lobby and ensuring that all administrative tasks related to scheduling and record-keeping are accurate and up to date. This position demands a candidate with excellent communication skills who can handle a busy workload with patience and professionalism while contributing to the cohesive team culture.

- Availability to work a full-time schedule (40-hours a week), Monday - Friday 11:00am-7:30pm
- High school diploma or GED
- One to two years of progressively responsible experience
- Previous experience handling large volume of incoming calls as a receptionist preferred
- Must possess strong customer service skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks/priorities
- Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
- Intermediate computer skills in typing/keyboarding, Microsoft Word and Excel programs as well as GSuite
