At the Hillman Group's Jacksonville, Florida location, we are currently seeking dedicated and reliable 1st Shift Material Handlers to join our operations team. This is a full-time, first-shift position with working hours from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday. The base pay rate is competitive at $17.50 per hour, reflecting our commitment to rewarding hardworking team members. As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in supporting operational efficiency by managing the movement and stocking of raw materials and finished goods within the facility.
Your responsibilities will include receiving incoming shipments, unloading and placing stock into designated bulk storage areas, replenishing materials at workstations, and preparing products for shipment by sorting and loading them into the appropriate locations. You will utilize manual and motorized pallet jacks, hand-held RF scanners, and other equipment essential for daily tasks. The role requires attentiveness, physical stamina, and the ability to work accurately following both verbal and written instructions.
This position is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, safety conscious, and eager to contribute to a dynamic warehouse environment. - High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Ability to use a hand scanner
- Must be forklift operation certified
- Able to operate a pallet jack, forklift, order picker and Drexel
- Able to work accurately from verbal and written instructions
