This full-time non-management position focuses on procurement, purchasing, and quality assurance within the resort's operational framework. The role primarily involves receiving, unloading, and processing incoming deliveries while ensuring accountability of merchandise according to invoices and receiving reports. Organizing merchandise by department and accurately indicating its location within the facilities for proper delivery to relevant departments is a critical function. The incumbent is responsible for verifying and tracking inventory received, maintaining thorough records, and reconciling transportation invoices and receipt reports to guarantee counting accuracy.
Additional responsibilities include managing incoming and outgoing packages and mail for the department, safeguarding the reception area and its contents, and maintaining custody of all packages to ensure security. The role requires adherence to all company safety policies and procedures, reporting maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries promptly, and completing all required safety training and certifications. Maintaining a clean and professional appearance in uniform is essential, as is protecting the privacy of company information and assets.
The role also plays a vital part in fostering a respectful workplace by supporting coworkers, treating everyone with dignity, and contributing to team goals. Quality assurance expectations must be met consistently, along with compliance to all organizational standards. Physically, the position demands the ability to move, lift, transport, push, pull, and place items weighing up to 50 pounds independently. The work environment may involve reaching overhead, bending, twisting, moving through confined spaces, working on uneven or slippery surfaces, and climbing stairs or ramps.
This role requires functional skills such as reading and visually verifying information in various formats, inspecting tools and equipment for defects, and possessing fine motor skills and good hand-eye coordination. No prior supervisory experience or specific certifications are required, though a high school diploma or GED is desirable.
