This particular role, Manager, Global Trade, is a critical position within Raytheon’s Land & Air Defense Systems (LADS) business unit. The position is remote-based in the United States, specifically linked to Massachusetts, and requires U.S. citizenship due to the need to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance. The salary range for this role is estimated between $101,000 and $203,000 annually, with compensation reflective of experience, skills, and other factors.
As the Manager, Global Trade, you will be responsible for managing export and import licensing as well as compliance activities vital to the LADS business. You will work closely with empowered officials and program leadership to oversee licensing requests, including Department of State and Department of Commerce authorizations. Your expertise in International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR) will be essential in advising on export authorization requirements, strategies, and ensuring consistent regulatory compliance.
The role entails a dynamic and fast-paced environment, necessitating cooperation across multiple functional groups and business units within Raytheon. You will serve as a subject matter expert on global trade compliance, reinforcing policies and championing compliant business operations that align with U.S. export control laws. This requires detailed review and approval of export transactions involving hardware, technical data, software, personnel travel, and engineering support services.
Furthermore, you will contribute to developing and improving trade compliance infrastructure elements such as processes, procedures, automated tools, training programs, and performance metrics. The position demands strong analytical and organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving to meet deadlines and compliance standards effectively.
Travel may be necessary to support global trade or program meetings, and you will have opportunities to master licensing strategies, compliance management, and contribute significantly to continuous process enhancements within the enterprise. - Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance
