As a supervisor, you will assist in achieving budgeted sales and profits by supporting daily restaurant operations and aligning with the company’s established standards and procedures. This role demands a keen understanding of staff recruitment, training, development, and retention strategies to maintain a motivated workforce that contributes to delivering an outstanding guest experience. You will implement the IHOP Restaurant Training Program (IRTP) to improve unit operations and ensure all employees are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the General Manager to oversee functional areas such as financial management, local marketing initiatives, guest service, human resources, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Ensuring safety, sanitation, and security practices meet regulatory standards is a core responsibility to safeguard the well-being of guests and team members alike. Additionally, you will manage inventory of supplies and maintain the operational condition of equipment and premises to uphold IHOP’s quality standards. The position calls for excellent communication skills, both oral and written, to effectively interact with restaurant employees, corporate and regional staff, and guests. You will be tasked with completing necessary reports and documentation timely and accurately. Physical demands include regular standing, walking, and occasional lifting of supplies. Working conditions may involve exposure to fumes, moving mechanical parts, and fluctuating temperatures, necessitating a safety-conscious and adaptable approach.
