The Manager, Events position, is a vital role within JLL's Global Events Team, aligned closely with JLL’s overarching business strategy regarding meetings and events. This role requires an individual with the capability to independently manage mid-range to complex event logistics, oversee budget management, and handle communications related to both internal and external client-facing meetings and events, including large-scale trade shows. The successful candidate will be adept at handling multiple events simultaneously, prioritizing tasks efficiently, and responding swiftly to urgent project requirements. Key responsibilities also include conducting venue research and requests for proposals, managing vendor contracts and negotiations, and ensuring all event elements such as catering, audiovisual, and accommodations are flawlessly coordinated with legal approvals where necessary. The Manager will also be instrumental in driving event communication logistics, developing themes and décor, and managing transportation and lodging for attendees. This position requires comprehensive knowledge of business development, project management, finance, marketing functions, and the commercial real estate (CRE) sector. Offering a salary range between $80,000 and $95,000 annually, this role is based on-site in Chicago, IL, and provides an excellent opportunity to grow within a dynamic environment.   • Bachelor of Arts or Science degree or equivalent experience
  • Five plus years of experience in corporate meeting and event planning
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong prioritization and time management skills
  • Proficiency with event technology platforms including Cvent, SmartSheets, Workfront
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Professional demeanor and respectful interaction with others
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent events
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
